We left Nicholaos at first light last Tuesday morning, as planned. Our friendly Bread-Man 'Geoff de Nicholaos' delivered a fresh brown loaf just before we cast-off our lines and a beautiful local girl 'Pamela de Nicholaos' also made her way to the quayside to bid us farewell (with no knickers on!). Which goes to show good friends get up early too!
We had a great sail, mostly close reach to the Meltemi, 62 NN / 8 hours towards the S-end of Nisos Kasos and dropped the hook in a wonderful deserted bay called Ormos Khelatronas. Yep! The hunter-gatherer caught another fish, we think a sea trout, which we polished-off same evening! We were the only yacht in the bay and the Meltemi blew mostly at 25 kts the whole night, during which I poked my head up twice to check our general situation and integrity on the hook. We put 60m out in 10m depths so could be pretty confident all night!
