Kithera

This evening we are on the hook in a little bay, Ormos Kapsili, on the island of Kithera, which is about half way from the S end of the Peloponnese towards Crete. We spent last night in another wonderful little bay, Ormos Mezapo, on the S-end of the Peloponnese. With the pending prospects of thunderstorms (once again to Sue's utmost delight) we decided it would be best to be in deep water, as opposed to being on the hook in a potentially exposed anchorage. This was a good decision because within half an hour of departing Mezapo we encountered the first big blow & rain, from the NW - the very place where we would have been exposed had we stayed put in Mezapo. Good planning eh! The 50NM passage today was pretty good, highlighted by us catching our first tuna. This we will enjoy tonight, and at least an additional two nights as well! Sue, having only this morning made dispersions regarding my inability of being an exceptionally good 'hunter-gatherer' will enjoy eating the fresh rewards when we tuck-in to our tuna.
Tomorrow we expect to head towards Kriti - or should we go to Crete instead?
