On returning to our newly acquired 'corner display berth' in Kemer we were able to settle down for a few days, preparing the yacht for the coming winter berth period of relative inactivity. Unfortunately, there is no such thing because 'work, work, work' is the hidden meaning of 'relative inactivity'. Cleaning, removing & storing the Jib-sail was made a little more awkward when Sue found shopping with girls too irresistible, leaving me to flute, bag & transfer the sail inside the yacht. Doing almost the same with our enormous Genoa the next day was hard work even for the two of us! A never-ending todo list of jobs always ensures something gets left for next time, which is a good reason to go back from time to time, isn't it? For now, it's bye bye to all our associated liver-pickling buddies in Turkey and hello to our family and friends in the UK. The timing of our journey home meant I am privileged to have had an 'official' 55th Birthday celebration before leaving as well a family celebration on the day after our return to the UK, both very enjoyable too!
Finally, guess where Sue had an appointment at 8.00 a.m. the morning after we arrived home................ at her local hair dressers because Sue says "After nearly 12 weeks and 4,000 miles in the sun, it needs it!"
